The mind is everything. What you think, you become. Buddha
You create your thoughts, your thoughts create your intentions and your intentions create your reality. Wayne Dyer
Walking the spiritual path requires honesty about our real beliefs and expectations. Honesty is the only path forward. When our beliefs do not mirror our inner spiritual being, then each false belief, thought, and expectation takes us away from our higher mind and soul.
What does this look like? Let’s look at money, as an example.
Do you believe you have enough? Do you think your life would be better if you had more in your bank account? Is your expectation that your life would be easier, and your world brighter, happier and better if you had more money? Do you expect to ever have enough money? Or do you expect that you will always struggle? Do you resent those with more money?
There are a lot beliefs and expectations in your answers. Each of them shape your life. How are your thoughts about money shaping your life?
Many of us have taken on society’s beliefs about money. That money is power. Money brings us what we need in our lives. But money is simply energy. It is our connection to our source that determines how much energy is flowing into our life. This connection to source is inside us; it isn’t based on our job or our bank account. Our higher mind and soul is our connection to source. When we put our focus on our spiritual connection, the outer circumstances of our life — the material stuff — is taken care of. The inner creates the outer, always.
I am going to write about beliefs and expectations a lot over the next several weeks. Getting really honest about what’s hidden inside is the only way to change the outer circumstances of my world.
