No day is so bad it can’t be fixed with a nap. Carrie Snow
Rest when you’re weary. Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your soul. Then get back to work. Ralph Marston
A day without a nap is like a cupcake without frosting. Terri Guillemets
Walking the spiritual path is a life long journey. Some days flow smoothly and you feel confident and strong about your progress. Some days everything is a struggle. The spiritual journey is different day to day. On the days when things flow easily, we can offer gratitude to our soul for clearing the way for us. On the days that feel like wading through cold molasses, we can offer gratitude again to our soul. Somewhere in all this is a nugget of wisdom. It may be something we need to release from our life or a new way of understanding the path we are on.
On those days when things are stuck and you’re tired, be kind and gentle to yourself. Your soul is not a task master cracking the whip and expecting you to work until you drop. One days like this give yourself a break. Watch a movie, read a book or take a nap. Remember, you are in this for the long haul; there is room for downtime along the way.
Affirmation: My soul does what is needed, and then enjoys some rest. I am in tune with the rhythm and flow of my inner being.
