I Ching Wisdom May 8

Teh-Khwang – Great Strength

You are in a position of influence over others both through your hard work and your inner spiritual development. This may be an official position, such as a teacher or coach, or it may be more informal. Perhaps you have come to the attention of an audience through your spiritual work and practices. This gua is about using this strength wisely, for power abused is power corrupted. Begin by acknowledging the power and influence you have; being falsely modest serves no one. Using your influence and inner power for the betterment of yourself and those around you. Denying the power you wield creates chaos in your life and this will spill over onto those around you. Because you have such influence over others, react carefully and thoughtfully. By choosing to embrace the power and influence this gua represents, things move positively for you.
