Walking the Spiritual Path April 5

Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have, Make the Now the primary focus of your life. Eckhart Tolle

It is always this moment that our life happens in. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. Yet how often do we leave this moment, to look ahead or to the past. These are a waste of our precious energy.

In this moment alone is when we can make a choice. A choice to follow our intuitive awareness, to listen to our heart, and to be guided by our higher self. There is nothing we can do about what came before, and we are shaping the future by our choices in this moment.

Staying in the present moment is a habit of noticing each moment in our life. Now I am making coffee. Now I am drinking coffee. Now I am picking up a pen. It seems so simple, and it is! Often the simplest lessons are the most challenging to master. When I leave this moment, I have lost all that I am. I have left my higher mind behind to go wandering. It is not a good idea to leave my higher mind behind. My life works when my higher mind is guiding me.

Today, I stay in this moment. I focus on what I am doing right now. This is the only moment of my life that matters, and I choose to put my energy in staying right here.

  1. Funny that I am reading this as I am re-reading “The Power of Now.” Do you think someone is trying to tell me something? Thanks for much for the confirmation and excellent words 🙂
