Walking the Spiritual Path Day 89

Separation is the antithesis of creation.  Separateness spawns isolation, encouraging division, and indifference, creating hate and condemnation.   Separation sows the seeds of destruction towards everything in its path.   Anonymous

Separation is quite simply fear.

“Fear is the path to the dark side.  Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.”  Yoda

Holding myself separate is a terrible disservice to myself and to the entire planet.  This separation sends out the message that others are alone and isolated too.  The lie of separation — that I am alone –plays out everywhere in the world around me.  Today we have separation on every level:  people are separate from their neighbor, from someone whose skin color, religion, gender, sexual identity, income level, political party or nation of origin is different.   In separateness, differences are things to be judged, condemned and attacked.   Separateness from the planet, and indifference to Gaia’s fate is used as a justification to foul the air, water and earth and harm the flora, fauna, and beings indigenous to the planet.

It is time for me to stop feeding this false construct.   To be of service to the world around me, and to live the life I was created for demands I see myself as part of everything.   What happens to one race of people, to plants and animals, lakes, rivers and oceans all affect me as well.    There is nothing on the globe that “isn’t my problem.”  Spiritual maturity demands that I take responsibility for what I am creating in the world, through my thoughts, beliefs, emotions and actions.  I cannot aspire to be a powerful spiritual being and pretend I am blameless.    I cannot hold onto my separateness and look at the world around me and believe it is someone else’s problem to fix.

Affirmation:  I am one with my higher mind and soul.  I am the one I have been waiting for.
