Walking the Spiritual Path Day 70

Find the love you seek first by finding the love within yourself.  Learn to rest in that place within you that is your true home.  Sri Sri Ravi Shandar

You’ve been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn’t worked.  Try loving and approving of yourself instead and see what happens.  Louise Hay

When you commit to walking the spiritual path, you are automatically committing yourself to uplifting and healing the planet, because one equals the other.   To hold feelings of criticism, judgement, anger, disapproval and rejection in your heart means you cannot possibly have anything positive to offer the world around you. Hate poisons everything it touches.  Your heart must be clear and your thoughts must be genuinely positive.  That means keeping at the releasing, destroying and transforming work until there is nothing left that does not belong to your higher mind.  This is not a time to fake-it-until-you-make-it.    There is only being a clear vessel for your higher mind’s power and energy, or being tainted.

If you are making the time and effort to commit to your spiritual path, it’s pretty unlikely you would deliberately hold onto the taint of negativity and hatred.  But the conscious ego-driven mind and the thoughts and patterns it creates love to distort and deceive.  Thus, while the intent is to be positive and uplifting, in actuality it like being a canister of poisonous gas, polluting and harming everything around you.  The fact that you don’t mean to be this way really doesn’t excuse anything: not in the long term anyway.  The only way forward is complete self love, self acceptance and self approval.

Affirmation:  Today I am one with the complete self love and self approval that belongs to my higher mind and soul.
