The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine. Buddha
Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out. Robert Collier
I have written before about my need to have structure in my spiritual practice. Imposing structure into my daily activities is something I have dipped my toes into before, only to retreat back into the conscious mind inspired landscape of fits and starts, and inconsistency. Lack of structure quite simply does not work. Time slips away, and important tasks are left undone.
Structure looks like showing up for myself. In a consistent place and time, I meditate, perform divination, journal and perhaps draw or paint. This consistency ensures that I move into the rest of my day calm and comfortable and at peace, focused on my higher mind and soul.
In contrast, when I tried to do these daily tasks later in the day, I always had this nagging feeling that there was something I was supposed to get to, that something was left undone. This was the conscious mind inspired way of keeping me unsettled and off-balance. I cannot be an effective physical vessel for my inner being when I am feeling anxious, uncertain and rushed. Now I am seeing the old game for what it is. I am waking up to the fact the only energy that ever wants me to wait and delay is never that of my higher mind and soul.
Affirmation: Today I am one with my higher mind and soul, as I move from one soul focussed action to another.
