The most vital thing in spiritual life is to be able to watch your mind, to be the observer of your mind so that the mind is not controlling you.  Eckhart Tolle

Learn to quiet your monkey mind.   Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche

Learning to quiet the mind is a major challenge on the spiritual journey  It has taken much releasing, transforming, and destroying of thoughts and beliefs for my mind to quiet down.  My thoughts are fewer and my mind is calmer.  Now as thoughts appear, I can look at them individually, checking with my higher mind to determine if they belong to her.   Before, my thoughts were so many coming one right after another.  My connection to my higher mind and soul wasn’t very strong, so I followed each mental monkey.

I still have times that I follow those mental monkeys, jumping from one topic to another.  But these times are fewer, and they stand out now, rather than being the norm.  Now I know the only remedy is to stop and regroup and make sure I am manifesting my higher mind and soul.  I am looking at my triggers both mental and emotional that lead me away from my soul.  As I find these, I ask my higher mind to remove them.  Inner mental quiet makes this work easier.  Each day becomes more peaceful, and staying manifested happens more often.

Affirmation:  As my higher mind and true self vibrates her eternal peace through me, my entire being is calm, composed and serene.
