Finding your true direction is discovering the path that belongs to your true inner self.  This path is a life of authenticity where things unfold easily, and your needs are met without struggle.  You have what you need when you need it.  Your focus is on this moment, and you are engrossed in what you are doing.  Your mind is quiet, your heart is content, and your energy is calm and peaceful.  This is the result of living the life that belongs to your true self.  This is the life you are meant to live.

Finding your true direction is returning that which made you happy as a child.  These early memories of happiness can be buried under a lot “stuff:”  family expectations, school, work experience, paying the bills and ‘being a grown-up.’   It may be a long time since you lived in that happy content place, trusting yourself and trusting the universe, and knowing that everything was going to work out just fine.   Rediscovering this personal truth can require help.  Spiritual life coaching is about helping you rediscover what has been buried and ignored; what was pushed aside as you pursued the trappings of a “successful” life.

What are some of these beliefs that can hold you back?

What will other people think?  This can be family, neighbors, friends, coworkers.  What they all have in common is that none of them are you.  All of them are outside yourself.  This journey is about reconnecting with what is inside yourself.

How will I pay the bills and afford my life as I know it?  Success can be defined as earning money you don’t need, to buy things you don’t want, to impress people you don’t like.  Perhaps it is time to take a look at the life you have been living and decide who you living it for.  If you are not working at a career that gives you joy, satisfaction and contentment, then your daily life is about doing things for material reasons, not spiritual reasons.

Finding your true direction is reconnecting with your authentic inner self.    Once you make this re-connection, you can let go and let the wonderful process of life bring you everything you are supposed to do, be an have.
