Tuning into your inner wisdom is going within yourself for the guidance and awareness that is available to you in every moment. In this quiet inner place lie all the answers to all the questions you will ever ask. This inner wisdom is your personal connection to the wisdom of the cosmos, giving you the template for the life you have always desired. Inner guidance is the quiet voice that nudges you in a certain direction, it puts the person in front of you that has helpful information for that new business you want to start. It is the quiet voice that says “this… this is what you want. Look here, read this.”

When we listen to this inner voice, things unfold easily. Our inner wisdom gives one task at a time: talk to this person, make this phone call, put together your website, start that blog or open that online shop — and things unfold from there. The clients come, the sales happen, the cash flows in, and life feels alive and meaningful and we know we are doing what we were born to do. Listening to our inner wisdom leads us to the immediate next step, and all we have to do is take that one step. There is no need to be concerned about what will happen three steps down the road. The universe has already lined everything up. All we have to do is take the step right in front of us. Then we will be given the next step, and then the one after that. It really is that easy, when we relax and trust the universe and our inner guidance, which is our personalized connection to the creative source of all that is.

So why is it so hard to slow down and tune into our inner wisdom? Why do so many of us skip right by the authentic choice for our lives, and instead focus outside ourselves? Why is it more appealing to look at what someone else is doing on social media or read celebrity gossip? The noise and emptiness of modern life creates an energetic echo chamber: it encourages us compare, to rush, to buy, to consume or accumulate, and then post the selfie on social media. Turning away from the frenzy of modern life is where we find the truly meaningful. In quiet contemplation, enjoying the sunshine, walking in nature, just watching the clouds float by are simple ways to unplug and refocus on the beauty and wonder of the world we live in and live upon.

The most important step you can take is to slow down. From there, let the universe and your own inner guidance show you the way.
